Cterra sits inside the park area, so staying guests pay no daily concession fee. Entry fees apply when you enter or leave through the park and on activities inside it.

The ones that need a vehicle

Game drives, boat safaris, dhow cruises and transfers depend on a vehicle, a boat and a crew being free. We confirm those by hand rather than sell you a seat that may not exist. Tell us what you want and the camp comes back with times and availability. These are paid at the camp.

Rates are the published 2026–2027 rates, quoted in US dollars and subject to availability. Government park fees, TANAPA charges and other statutory charges are excluded. Rates may vary by group size, season and special arrangements. Advance booking is required. Payment for experiences is taken by Pesapal and is separate from your accommodation booking.

All guided by people who grew up on this coast. Most can be added to your booking; a few depend on the tide and the season.

Game drive

Elephant, giraffe, buffalo, warthog and a dozen antelope species across coastal savannah. Early morning or late afternoon, in an open vehicle.

Upriver among hippo, crocodile and a great deal of birdlife. The light in the last hour before sunset is the reason people come back.
