Saadani village and the settlements along this coast have been fishing these waters for generations. The park was created around them, not instead of them.
A visit is exactly that — a visit, arranged with people who want you there, not a staged performance. If conditions are right you can go out in a gallawa, the traditional outrigger, with someone who has been sailing one since childhood.

Experiences are booked with the camp. Where they are configured in our reservation system you can add them while booking; otherwise tell us and we will arrange it. The park day-trip fee applies to any activity inside the park and is paid at the gate.
