Booking terms, cancellation and privacy
Not yet reviewed by a lawyer qualified in Tanzania. The commercial terms on this page — who you book with, what the rate includes, cancellation, payment, check-in — were confirmed by the property on 4 August 2026 and are accurate. What is still open is how long booking data is kept, which depends on the reservation system. Until a Tanzanian lawyer has reviewed this page, the terms sent to you by email when you book are the ones that apply.
Who you are booking with
This website is operated for Consolidated Tourist & Hotels Investment Ltd (CTHI), trading as Cterra, which owns and runs Cterra Saadani Luxury Tents inside Saadani National Park, Pwani Region, Tanzania. Your contract for accommodation is with that company.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and the courts of Tanzania have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Making a booking
A booking is made when you complete the steps on this website and we confirm it by email. Availability and rates come live from our reservation system, and a dome is only held for you once you reach the payment step. Until payment completes, it can still be taken by someone else — including through a travel site.
If payment does not complete within 60 minutes, the hold is released automatically and the nights go back on sale.
What your rate includes
All rates are full board: accommodation and all meals. Rates are quoted per dome per night for the number of guests you enter.
Rates do not include the Saadani National Park day-trip fee, transfers to and from the camp, guided experiences, drinks beyond those served with meals, or anything of a personal nature.
Park fees
Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) charges a day-trip fee per person for each day you are inside Saadani National Park. This fee is set by TANAPA, not by Cterra. It is not included in your rate and Cterra keeps no part of it; it can be settled with us at the camp or paid at the park gate on arrival.
We show an estimate for your party at the first step of the booking so that it never appears late. The estimate is indicative: the tariff is TANAPA's to change, and different rates apply to non-residents, East African citizens, Tanzanian residents and children.

Payment
Payment is taken online by card through Pesapal, a licensed payment provider, under its own PCI-DSS certification. Card details are entered on Pesapal's form and are never seen or stored by this website. Funds settle directly to Consolidated Tourist & Hotels Investment Ltd.
Rates are quoted and charged in United States dollars. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank sets the exchange rate and may add its own fee. Neither amount is visible to us.
The full amount is taken at the time of booking. There is no part-payment or deposit option: your stay is paid in full before it is confirmed, and the confirmation you receive is for a paid booking.
Cancellation and changes
Bookings are non-refundable. Once a booking is confirmed and paid, the amount paid is not refunded if you cancel, change your dates or do not arrive — whatever the reason and however far in advance you tell us.
We would rather you read that here than discover it later. It is the single most important thing to know before you pay, which is why it is stated plainly, shown again at the payment step and repeated in your confirmation email.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. A policy that covers cancellation, medical care and repatriation is what protects you here; our terms do not.
If your plans change, contact us with your booking reference anyway. We cannot promise anything, but we would rather hear from you and see whether anything can be done than have you simply not arrive.
If we have to cancel
Very occasionally something outside our control makes a stay impossible — an extreme weather event, a park closure, damage to the camp. If that happens we will offer you alternative dates or a full refund of what you have paid us. We are not able to refund flights, transfers or park fees paid to third parties, which is why travel insurance is worth having.
Arriving and staying
Cterra is inside a national park. Park rules apply throughout your stay and exist for your safety: stay within the camp after dark unless accompanied, keep a safe distance from wildlife, and follow the guidance of guides and rangers.
Check-in is from 13:00 and check-out is by 10:00. There is no minimum stay: one night is a booking like any other.
The camp is open all year, including through the long rains. The final stretch of road inside the park is unsurfaced, so in the wet months a four-wheel drive matters more, and flying in matters more still. Nothing closes.
Getting here
Road and air transfers from Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar are operated by third-party companies, not by Cterra. We are glad to arrange one for you, and we will tell you who is operating it and what it costs — but your contract for the journey is with them, and any delay or cancellation of a transfer is a matter between you and the operator.
Children
Children are welcome. Children under 5 are not charged a park day-trip fee and those aged 5 to 15 pay a reduced rate. Tell us their ages when you book so we can confirm the figures and put the right beds in the right dome.

Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act 2022 and, where you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation.
What we collect, and why
- Your name, email, phone and country — to take your booking, confirm it and reach you before you travel. Without these we cannot perform the contract.
- Your dates, party size and any requests — to hold the right dome and prepare for your arrival.
- A payment reference from Pesapal — to reconcile your booking. Not your card number, which we never receive.
- Anonymous usage statistics — only if you agree to them in the cookie banner. Declining changes nothing about the site.
Who else sees it
Your booking is created in our reservation system, operated by eZee / Yanolja Cloud Solutions. Payments are processed by Pesapal. Confirmation emails are sent through our email provider. Each receives only what it needs. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to info@cterra.co.tz and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies unless you agree. The banner appears on your first visit and declining is exactly as easy as accepting. If you decline, nothing is loaded from any third party and nothing about the site stops working.
The map on our contact page loads from Google only when you ask it to, by clicking it. Until then, no request reaches Google.
Complaints
Tell us first — most things are quicker to fix directly. Write to info@cterra.co.tz. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal data, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania, or to your own supervisory authority if you are in the EEA or the UK.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
