How to reach us
Cterra is 100 km north of Dar es Salaam, on the coast inside Saadani National Park, facing the Zanzibar channel. Getting here is the question guests ask most, so here is the honest answer.
From Dar es Salaam
By road it is a half-day journey, and the final stretch inside the park is unsurfaced. A four-wheel drive is strongly recommended, particularly in the rains. We can arrange a transfer with a driver who knows the route.
By air, light aircraft serve the Saadani airstrip. It is the fastest option and turns the journey into part of the trip.
From Zanzibar
You can see the island from our beach. The practical routes are a light aircraft transfer, or a return to Dar es Salaam followed by the road or air options above.
Many guests combine the two — a few nights of ocean and bush here, a few nights in Stone Town. Ask us and we will help you sequence it.

Tell us how you are arriving when you book and we will confirm the options, timings and cost. Transfers are not included in room rates.
